What Sets Us Apart
Not Just Another Delivery App
First & Only Iraqi YC Startup
In 2018, a 23-year-old from Erbil flew to San Francisco alone. His co-founders couldn't get visas. Every time he said "Iraq," investors said no. Y Combinator said yes — making Lezzoo the first and only Iraqi company to graduate from the world's most prestigious accelerator. We sit alongside DoorDash, Stripe, and Airbnb in the YC family.
Gaming Inside a Delivery App
We're the first super app in MENA to integrate gaming. 50+ games — from trivia to hyper-casual titles. Players earn coins redeemable for real prizes: TVs, gaming consoles, food vouchers. When we launched Lezzoo Trivia, it tripled our monthly active users across all of Iraq overnight. Gaming isn't a gimmick — it's our retention engine.
A Full Social Stack
Jiran is Iraq's first local social media — a neighborhood feed for buying, selling, and connecting. Scrolls is our TikTok-style short-video feed integrated with ordering. Xomali AI lets you generate and share AI art. Lezzoo isn't just a delivery app. It's where Iraqis hang out, discover, and create.
B2C → B2B Flywheel
Most delivery apps are consumer-only. We built a complete commerce ecosystem. Consumer orders generate demand. Merchant tools (Dukani, Friendz) digitize operations. Our B2B marketplace (Saydo) connects the whole chain to suppliers. Each layer strengthens the others. Iraq's commerce infrastructure — end to end.
Cash → Digital Payments
Iraq is a cash-based economy. That's not a limitation — it's our biggest opportunity. Lezzoo Pay is building Iraq's first ubiquitous digital wallet. Every order paid in-app is one less cash transaction. Every Friendz table is one less cash tip. We're not digitizing delivery — we're digitizing money.
Built for Iraq, by Iraqis
We don't apply Silicon Valley templates to Iraq. We build for Iraqi realities. Arabic and Kurdish interfaces. Cash-on-delivery when needed. Prayer-time-aware notifications. Local payment rails. Integration with local banks. Every product decision starts with: does this work for a family in Duhok on a Tuesday afternoon?
This is just the beginning.
We've spent seven years building Kurdistan's digital infrastructure. The next seven, we're scaling it across Iraq and beyond.
